What is seed paper?
Seed paper consists of paper fibers into which small seeds are incorporated. As soon as the paper is placed in moist soil, it slowly begins to dissolve. Under the right conditions, the contained seeds can then germinate.
Your seed paper contains forget-me-not seeds. The flowers usually appear in the following spring, depending on the sowing time and conditions.
How does seed paper work?
With a bright spot, fresh soil, and regular watering, you create good conditions for the first shoots.
Good to know
The best time to sow forget-me-nots is between June and September. If the paper is given as a gift in winter, it should be stored in a dry, dark place and sown later.
Forget-me-nots prefer a bright to semi-shady location and moist, but well-drained soil.
The classic garden forget-me-not is often cultivated as a biennial. Therefore, it may not flower until the following spring.
